Emeli is a well-respected accounting consultant in San Ignacio. She founded and managed a WISP, providing internet to underserved rural areas in the Cayo District. Emeli now develops and implements IT infrastructure and accounting systems for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). Emeli believes in the positive impacts of technology in education and as an active member of Belize Open Source Group, she promotes the use of Free Open Source Software in schools.

Emeli is a fan of the legendary “book smell”. She enjoys a hammock and a good book but cannot live without a nature hike!
